Seeking your expert opinion on the distribution
of phases of hepatitis B

Dear Colleagues,

WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis at The Doherty Institute are seeking your expert opinion on the distribution of phases of hepatitis B by age and country of birth / Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status in Australia.

What proportion of your patients, by age group and Indigenous status or region of birth (included are sub-Saharan Africa and Asia-Pacific for now), are in which phases of chronic hepatitis B?

If any problems, cut+and+paste the following link into your web browser: https://melbourneuni.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_29ratqbaNllmLM9

The data collected in this survey will be used to develop disease burden estimation and mathematical modelling approaches. This will help inform the surveillance, monitoring and evaluation of progress towards improving the public health response to chronic hepatitis B in Australia.

This data is critical for developing estimates of the number of patients who are eligible for treatment, and also underlies natural history and treatment impact estimates and associated modelling of the burden of chronic hepatitis B.

There is very little information available on this issue in the international literature, which is why we are after expert opinion in our phase-a-gram!
