Evaluation Specialist

ASHM International is seeking an Evaluation Specialist to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of our Clinical Mentor Model.

Position term: 20.08.2018 - 31.10.2018 (Up to 35 days)
Position rate: TBC

The Evaluation Specialist will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the ASHM International Clinical Mentor Model, collecting data and reporting on the challenges, achievements and opportunities within our three current ASHMIP clinical mentoring projects.

The consultant will work with the ASHM International Program Manager to finalise the Evaluation Framework prior to conducting a desk review, then undertaking qualitative & quantitative data collection. Along with remote data collection, the consultant is expected to undertake in-country visits to PNG and one Pacific country. The Evaluation Report will include recommendations for a clinical mentoring approach and evaluation framework that aligns with global best practice and guidelines. The findings and recommendation of this evaluation will be used to inform and reorient ASHM International’s mentoring model and approach, both internally and within the three projects.

This evaluation is expected to align with the OECD DAC Principles for the Evaluation of Development Assistance, and meet the DFAT Office of Development Effectiveness standards for good practice evaluation products.
